Utilización del metano contenido en el agua termal para la producción de energía en Hungría

Empresa en Hungría, está colectando el Metano de las aguas termales para utilizarlo en la generación de electricidad. La pregunta es si esto se puede llamar uso indirecto de la energía geotérmica?

En su informe trimestral, la compañía geotérmica húngara PannErgy, habla sobre una subsidiaria de la compañía que vende electricidad. Si bien no es geotérmica, la empresa tiene un elemento interesante. En realidad, usa metano tomado de las aguas termales para producir electricidad. Entonces, algún uso indirecto de la energía geotérmica, o al menos el agua caliente de la misma.

Berekfürdö Energy Production and Service fue comprada por PannErgy en 2010.

Entonces, la pregunta es si ¿esto se hace en otro lugar del mundo?
