Turquía pasa Kenia e Islandia en el ranking mundial de energía geotérmica

Turquía sube en el ranking de los países geotérmicos en el mundo, superando a Kenia e Islandia, con una capacidad instalada de 695 MW.

Como aprendimos en el reciente evento IGC Turkey 2016 que fue co-organizado por nuestra empresa matriz ThinkGeoEnergy, Turquía ha dado un gran salto adelante en el desarrollo geotérmico. Ahora ocupa el puesto no. 7 del ranking mundial, habiendo pasado a gigantes de la energía geotérmica como Islandia y Kenia.

Turquía añadió 47 MW adicionales en los últimos meses, teniendo ahora una capacidad de generación de energía geotérmica instalada de 695 MW.

Con un 106 MW adicionales en construcción y 425 MW en avanzado estado de desarrollo, hay más por venir.

Turquía se va a convertir en uno de los principales mercados de energía geotérmica en el mundo.
