Se publicó una licitación para el suministro de una planta geotérmica de 3.15 MW de potencia neta, para el proyecto geotérmico United Downs Deep Geothermal Power, en Cornwall, Reino Unido.

Geothermal Engineering Ltd (GEL), con sede en el Reino Unido, lanzó una licitación para el suministro de una planta generadora de electricidad geotérmica, capaz de producir hasta 3.15 MW de potencia neta, en el proyecto de energía geotérmica profunda de United Downs, ubicado cerca de Redruth en Cornwall.

El proyecto está cofinanciado por el Fondo Europeo de Desarrollo Regional y será el primer proyecto de energía geotérmica en el Reino Unido. El sitio está ubicado en el polígono industrial de United Downs, cerca de Redruth en Cornwall. La fecha de cierre de la licitación es el 6 de abril de 2018.
